Wow, it's been awhile huh. There's only the three MCQ papers left, so I've decided to resuscitate this dying blog a little bit before disappearing for another week or so.Let's do a breakdown of the papers so far:A Math:One word: Fucked.Chem Paper 2:I think I did alright. There were some questions I didn't know how to do, but after counting marks dropped, plus allowing for errors in calculation (of marks) on my part, the worst I should be getting is a B3, which I'm fine with, as the Paper 1 is definitely going to be used to jack the whole score up, hopefully significantly. Hopeful grade: A1.History:Another one that I found alright. Really nothing much to comment on; topics for SEQ, I had at least base knowledge of all of them. Did the question on Gorbachev in the end as it was the chapter I was most comfortable with, having read it twice over the night before plus once more on the morning itself. As it is with Humanities, it's difficult to say how well I did. Nevertheless, I think it's a solid 'OK'.English Paper 1:The functional writing portion... I think I covered all the examination criteria, albeit probably not fantastically well. Should be able to get an alright mark for that section. The compo, well, inspiration hit me and I managed a 6 1/4 page (that's 3 sheets of foolscap plus a 4th) story on the topic 'Heroes'. The only worry is that I might be construed as having written out of point, but I think that'll only happen if the marker is extremely anal. Still, 99% sure I wrote within context, and, if I do say so myself, my story was quite touching. That's unusual, cos I don't usually do 'touching'. My stories usually contain loads of fighting and war and shit. Lol. But I digress. Should get an A1 for this paper. A2 at worst, B3 at very very very worst.English Paper 2:This paper was alright... Passage and questions quite easy to understand, and the summary portion was actually quite straightforward. That said, I'm still crossing my fingers. I should be fine but I don't want to get over-confident. I'd like an A1 for English, overall, but a B3 would be alright.E Math 1 & 2:Generally quite okay... Might have dropped a few marks here and there but I feel quite good about E Math, as a whole. Hoping for a minimum grade of B3.Chinese:Haha, don't know what to say. Paper 2 just see my luck lah, seriously, but the Cloze Passage was actually slightly easier than usual. Just lucky, I guess, lol. The comprehension passages were also okay, although one or two of the questions were abit tricky. Solution? Find the general area of where the answer might be and copy/paste the whole bloody thing. Lol. Should do okay lah, seriously. Paper 1... Nothing special. I think I'll get my same ol' 13-14 for letter-writing, and something like 27-30 or so for my compo. I hope my grade can improve. I'm currently on a B3, and I wouldn't like to have re-taken the subject for shits. An A2, at least, if not an (ultra-super-duper tyco) A1, that's what I'm hoping for.Physics Paper 2:I don't know what happened to me but I blanked out for the first 5 minutes or so of this paper before I got my head in the game and started to do the paper for serious. Generally okay; I have just about the same feeling for this paper as I do for Chem 2. Also gonna use the Paper 1 to jack up the marks. It should be a B3, for now. Hope to get an A2 or A1 for the final grade.Social Studies:SBQ was alright... I wasn't VERY SURE on any of the SEQ topics, but I think I'll do okay for the question I chose (the one on People). Don't feel as good about this as I do for History. That said, I don't feel horrible about it either, so, while it's hard to gauge what grade I'll get, I think a B3 or A2 wouldn't be too far off a guess. Maybe A1, that's possible.Bio Paper 2:Didn't really study for this as I don't intend to use this for my L1R5. That said, the paper was ridiculously easy in some portions. Example: They gave us a bar graph with the different figures representing water gained/lost in a day through various means. Then one of the questions pertaining to the graph asked us to calculate the total water gained. Very '?!?!?!?!', isn't it? Lol. Not complaining though. They want to give us marks for Primary School maths, I'm happy to take them. Was confused by the Genes question though, and wrote quite little for the question 6 and 7 for the essay questions, especially 7. Nevertheless, I don't think it's ridiculous to say that I could get a B4 or something in that region. Paper 1 will jack up my grade by 1 or 2 grades, so I'm not worried about it, especially since I'm not really intending to use this for my L1R5.Well, there we are. Of course, I'll do alot of practice for my MCQ papers, and, honestly, I'm confident I'll do well for them. I'm really hoping for a minimum of 35/40 for all of them, although I'm aiming for something around the region of 38-40 for Phy and Chem, and 36-38 for Bio. That said, I'll of course be trying to get full marks for all of them; they'll really help my grades.Well, just a little bit more before I'm free. Can't wait, honestly. Days of football, video games and general good-times lie ahead, lol. Till next time then, here's a video of the video game Guitar Hero II, with the song featured being Trogdor, by Strong Bad. It's a joke song, although it does sound kick-ass in its own way. Check out http://www.homestarrunner.com/ in your free time. Funny. As. Hell.Strong Bad - Trogdor
