well then, POP has come and gone.
come to think of it, the day itself encompassed just about everything about my whole band life. from pure awesome-ness in playing (i had some good moments) to wearing my lips out, from being angry at my lack of form (at times) to getting to that all-time high, everything was there.
i don't want to recount, minute by minute, what happened today. that wouldn't be doing it justice. basically, the parade was good, i blew my lips out by the end of everything, i had a helluva end to the day.
the parade and recollections were actually quite routine, so i won't go into them. what happened after... that was cool. playing Gently Touch the Sky for Mr Tan... repeating it against his wishes (heh!)... and the slideshow. that was good. my picture was apt (lol!). i was alone (as i usually am) and with a football. very suitable. haha.
well, the slideshow was a good one, the whole effect was well-executed. thanks, jiaying, for that.
juniors... well, i've told you guys all that i have to say. you'll be fine, don't miss me too much, i'll come back, don't worry about that. you guys brought me on a helluva ride. while i can't say i enjoyed EVERY moment, i truly appreciate the whole experience. it has helped me grow as a person. thank you, thank you all, for everything. *deep and sincere bow*
after that, went back to the band room. thanks for the card juniors, it'll be up next to the card you guys made for my birthday, haha. we really 'killed' james, taupok, stack, strip, draw... the whole shebang, lol. as i was still recovering from the exertions needed to make the attack, they attacked ME. bastards! made me do push-ups with 4 or 5 on them on me, shitheads, lol. i was panting from the effort to get free for minutes afterwards.
well. let's think about my batch-mates now...
i never really was very close with any of you, save for James and Eugene (if you count him as my batch). nevertheless, i have never had any problems with any of you, and i thank you all for everything that you guys might have done for me. i know i haven't exactly endeared myself to you all, mainly cos i'm just very zi-bi, lol, but i thank you all for the good times. SYF 2007 has been significant to all of us, no matter how different our ways of leading our sections. that's one thing we'll always share; the honour of being the very first batch of seniors to lead the band to the magical GWH. God bless you all.
