well then, here we are again!
i spent the whole of today with yet another old friend of mine, Boon, my good old best pal of EIGHT YEARS. long, ain't it.
basically we just played a shitload of Halo 2 on XBox, playing co-op mode. at one point of time we got so frustrated with the difficulty we just settled on killing each other with Covenant/Human Tanks, and trying to escape each other's attacks, as well as trying to kill each other via melee methods. lol, very dumb, i know, but our minds had been pretty shot by looooong hours of gaming by then, haha. can't blame us, lol.
in between and after gaming, we watched DVDs of Everybody Loves Raymond and The Simpsons. entertainment is always in abundance in Boon's place. we also had a good laugh at Masked Rider 555, LOL. the food's also fantastic at his place. for example, when you hear the words 'Fish Porridge' when you ask what's for lunch, would you feel disappointed? you would, right? but you'll never be disappointed here. even something simple like fish porridge tastes awesome (his maid is a great cook, haha). we even had potato salad and, when we were feeling peckish a in the late afternoon, instant noodles (and even this was added to with prawns!). awesome, awesome shit man.
his parents got home about 6-something, and invited me to dinner. of course, i did feel a little pai seh... but went in the end. i didn't regret my decision at all man. went to this Japanese restaurant, Waraku, i think it's called. in the Katong area. i am an absolute noob when it comes to Japanese food, so i just went with Boon's recommendation, and was far from disappointed. the beef was fantastic, hell, the whole meal was, haha.
on the way back, he let me listen to the GTA radio of Vice City Stories (he had brought his PSP). i do so very much miss the GTA style of radio, haha. oh, and he also lent me the original Halo, for PC.
damn man, you've been great, and so have your parents. great day, magnificent meals... thanks man, thanks alot. i insist you stay for dinner when you come over next week man, i absolutely insist. lol. Cheers mate!
